Mill launches a smart compost-bin service, Chess.com ships a kitten bot, Amazon Music increases prices

Highlight of the day

Mill, started by the Nest co-founder, launched a smart compost-bin subscription for $33 per month. Mill's bin dehydrates and mashes food waste to reduce volume by ~90%, with the dried grounds then sent back to Mill to use as an ingredient in animal food.
