What is life?

Rogan interviews Steve Jobs, BMW starts gaming, Meta ships legs

Here we go. A podcast episode has been released of Joe Rogan interviewing Steve Jobs. Only catch? It's generated by AI, using digitally cloned voices from both men. Covering topics such as Jobs' LSD use, the interview gives us a glimpse into how AI-generated media is going to completely screw with our minds đŸ˜±

Wait... They shipped what!?

BMW is adding in-car gaming to its dashboard display screen.

Backstory: BMWs going all out on entertainment. They launched the new 7 series sedan with a built-in Amazon Fire TV, as well as 5G connection to enable streaming.

Details: BMW is partnering with gaming provider AirConsole on the initiative. Highlights include:

  • Players to use smartphones as controllers, connecting through QR codes

  • Game access limited to AirConsole's library of single and multiplayer titles

  • Games can only be played if the car is parked

Why it matters: BMWs move is representative of a broader industry-wide focus on car entertainment. For example, Tesla's had in-car gaming since 2019, and Elon says we'll see Steam running on Teslas pretty soon.

As more cars go electric, there's an opportunity to monetize the attention of drivers lounging around waiting for their vehicles to charge.

Similarly, as autonomous driving progresses, cars stand to become a new living room of sorts, creating lucrative opportunities as occupants sit around and dawdle. Free ad-supported Uber rides are a natural future iteration.
