Apple unveils spatial video on iPhone, Goldman Sachs relaxes Apple Card risk limits, Adobe publicly rolls out FireFly
Happy Monday! After a legless first year, Horizon Worlds avatars finally now have legs! Users can now see VR legs of other users and of themselves using a mirror, but alas seeing your own legs in first-person is still a no go ❌
🌶 Daily highlight 🌶
Apple announced a "spatial video” feature for the new iPhone 15 Pro. Using a combination of both iPhone cameras, users will be able to film spatial video that can be watched in VR / AR on the Apple Vision Pro headset 🥽
The possibilities are limitless – think reliving childhood memories in VR, YouTube creators with 3D instructional videos, and immersively seeing the cooking process of a TikTok food creator.
Apple Vision Pro just got a lot more compelling. Rather than relying on developers and studios to churn out VR content, Apple’s move to tether Vision Pro content creation to it’s flagship iPhone product stands to unleash a wave of user-generated VR content (UGVRC) 🧨
