Spotify gets social, Netflix lays down the law, Microsoft publicly ships Premium Teams

Good morning! Netflix previewed its rules around enforcing password sharing, and you just gotta love the new requirement to "watch something at least once every 31 days". Guess that's one way to increase MAUs!

Highlight of the day

Spotify has been iterating on a "friends activity" tab test on its mobile app. The tab includes a story-like "weekly picks" section, and a feed of friends listening activity. As TikTok's social element plays an increasingly important role in music charts, Spotify may yet build out a social network of its own.
