Shopping Feed

Amazon ships a TikTok-style shopping feed, Google tests new Gmail ads, Deepfloyd unveils a new image generation AI model

Happy Monday! Microsoft quietly said that it’ll bypass default browser choice when users open links from the Windows Outlook app, instead opening all links in its Edge browser. Looks like Microsoft’s growth PMs have free reign 🏇

🌶 Highlight of the day 🌶

Amazon rolled out Inspire, it’s TikTok-style shopping feed, to all US customers. The Inspire tab displays short-form videos from creators, brands, and other customers. The videos are tailored based on recent search queries, and users can click on a product tile to purchase with very little friction 🛍️

Amazon’s will find it difficult to get the right creators on board as well as to direct traffic to the Inspire tab, however if the feed gets traction it’s going to quickly take no.1 position in the short-form video ecommerce world 🤑
