TikTok tests in-app checkout, Strava unveils crowdsourced photos, IG launches Telegram-like channels

Happy Friday! Microsoft says talking to Bing for too long can cause it to go off the rails and start getting hostile to users. Guess being mindful of our tone is something that we can all work on...

Separately - in response to reader feedback, where possible I'm going to add screenshots of the 'highlight of the day' features. Let me know your feedback on this over the next few editions!

Highlight of the day

TikTok is A/B testing in-app checkout. Select pop culture brands in the US such as Pacsun and KimChi Chic have been invited to partake in the beta test. Users can add payment methods to TikTok and purchase products directly without leaving the app. As IG retreats from shopping, TikTok is one to watch in the space.
