TikTok is testing Tako, an in-app AI chatbot. In certain countries, a chatbot button is displayed on the right-hand-side overlay of TikTok’s UI. When opened, users can ask Tako questions about specific videos or get help to discover new content 👀

Just like Snap’s My AI, if TikTok can get more users to use its in-app chatbot, it yields an additional benefit of first-party data through which they can serve better targeted ads 🎯
