Uber to roll out video ads, Google to wind down Google Domains, Streamlabs ships a podcast editor
Happy Friday! Swifties have officially broken the purchase flows for Live Nation and Ticketmaster. As a result of Taylor Swift’s concert tickets fiasco last November, the two companies have promised to Biden that they’ll move to disclose the full price of tickets upfront 🎫
🌶 Highlight of the day 🌶
Uber will ship video ads for its US users later this week. For rides, video ads will be displayed while users wait for their Uber to arrive as well as while in-transit. Video ads will also show up in Eats after an order is placed, as well as in-between search results while browsing munchies 🍔
Advertising is becoming a bigger and bigger focus for Uber - they’re even starting to roll out in-car tablets that show ads. Given Uber’s ads GM believes they’ll hit over $1b in ad revenue next year, expect to see Uber increasingly utilize its product real estate for ads 📺
