Twitter launches ad-revenue sharing for creators, Google launches a Calendly competitor, Salesforce to hike prices by 10%

Happy Friday! We’re hiring a Senior PM at Mercury to 0→1 an exciting initiative for one of our fastest-growing lines of business. HMU if you or someone you know might be a good fit 👋

🌶 Daily highlight 🌶

Twitter launched ad-revenue sharing with creators. Blue subscribers who have 5m+ Tweet impressions per month are eligible, and the first round of payouts totaled $5m. A nice cost-saving caveat by Twitter is that only ads served to verified users count in the payout calcs 🥸

This feature’s been in the works for several months, but given the success of Threads I’d be shocked if Musk hadn’t sped up the timeline. There’s no doubt that ad-revenue sharing helps with creator retention, but ~$300m debt repayments can make it hard to be too generous…
