Google announces generative AI search for doctors, YouTube tests banning ad-blockers, X tests paid tiers
Happy Tuesday! While AI continues to be a hit, it’s also burning a lot of cash. Individuals pay $10 / month for GitHub Copilot, an AI programming assistant, while the company loses $20 a month per user due to computing costs 🔥
🌶 Daily highlight 🌶
Google Cloud announced new generative AI search capabilities for doctors. The health and life sciences search features are being added to Vertex AI, Google’s cloud-based enterprise AI platform.
Instead of manually looking through troves of documents, doctors can now ask questions such as “What meds has this patient taken in the last 12 months?”, with the product then searching across clinical notes, faxed and scanned documents, and electronic health records ⚕️
The new search features also assist in other applications such as applying the correct billing codes, and determining patient eligibility to enroll in clinical trials. Google’s AI juggernaut in the enterprise continues 🚀
