🚢 Meta ships a music generative-AI tool, Navan broadens expense management with a card tie-in, Salesforce gets an AI Cloud

Good morning! NYC announced a minimum wage of $17.96 per hour for food delivery workers. The new wage will go live next month, and is a huge increase from the current $7.09. Great news for gig workers, and will be interesting to see how the likes of DoorDash adjust their prices 🍕

🌶 Highlight of the day 🌶

Meta launched MusicGen, a generative-AI tool to create music. MusicGen turns brief text descriptions into ~12 seconds of audio, and can optionally be “steered” by referencing existing songs. While the output isn’t fantastic just yet, it’s also not completely terrible…

It’s clear that generative-AI is coming in hot for the music world. Meta’s launch comes only a month after Google launched its own music LLM. Unlike Google however, Meta has open-sourced its music generator 🎶
