Bots for All

Quora launches user-generated bots, Loom ships a Chrome extension, Apollo launches a data health center

Good morning! Just six months after being released from prison, the founder of Fyre Festival is back in action. Billy MacFarland announced yesterday that Fyre Festival 2 is officially in the works πŸ’© Think I'll hold off from pre-sale for now...

🌢 Highlight of the day πŸŒΆ

Quora launched a user-created bots feature in Poe, it's AI chatbot. With just a short text prompt, the feature lets users make their own bots that leverage Claude or ChatGPT as 'base' bots. User generated bots get a unique URL (poe.com/botname), and already span use cases such as converting text to emojis πŸ‘‹ and teaching users Japanese πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

It's another step towards Quora's ambitions of becoming an AI platform, with an API for the user-created bots feature in the works. It's also a great user acquisition hook for Poe, as users share Poe links that require account creation to engage with their bots πŸ”₯
