Meta rolls out AI copy testing, Patreon launches community chats, Frec unveils a roboinvesting product
Good morning! Fines in space are officially a thing, after the FCC issued a $150k fine to Dish Network for not moving its defunct satellite further away from space 🚀
🌶 Daily highlight 🌶
Meta rolled out its first generative-AI features for advertisers, designed to increase the quality of marketing campaigns while also boosting efficiency of marketing workflows on Meta.
The most notable part of the launch is the “text variations” feature in Meta Ads Manager, which uses AI to generate copy variations for an ad. These variations can highlight specific keywords and input phrases, with Meta able to customize text for specific audiences 🎯
This type of feature stands to increase the speed of iteration while reducing human effort. One big miss on Meta’s part is that it won’t showcase performance details of each variation, which would have significantly increased the amount of learning per ad.
While the time horizon is uncertain, it’s clear that AI will play an increasingly large role in basic A/B testing, whether that’s for marketing or product 🤖
